Reunited and It Feels So Good!

Three years ago, we met Jessica in a shelter with her daughter Victoria. Today, she is reunited with her son also, and living in her own apartment.

In late July, she came to the Center for Social Innovation with other women who had graduated from the Spring ’18 Project Liberation cohort and they shared stories of life, and love and resilience.

Myra sang a song of gratitude…and spoke of gaining the courage to go for her dream job…and Bernadette shared her renewed spirit and ability to make a choice to take a chance to make a change. She had reunited with members of her family and pursuing a graduate degree and job in social justice. She wrote a poem and performed it.
