ZOOM ZOOM - A PANDEMIC LOVE STORY
HELP US TO CONTINUE RE-WRITING THE ENDING!!!!!

Isn't it astonishing how rapidly life can change?

In March 2020, our group meeting places were shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We were no longer able to gather as we did in 2019.

As our community came to grips with this, we all began to realize that our lives are being affected in ways we have never experienced. We also knew that we must advocate for those who were still in prison.

And as the news and information continued to unfold and separate us, we, at Project Liberation reflected very deeply on what could be done to serve and support in this time of unprecedented upheaval and uncertainty.

Many in our community were (and still are) facing great economic hardship, fear for their health and the health of those they love, grief over a devastating loss, or the unnerving prospect of being home bound for months, - all of us being challenged to rapidly adapt to a life and world we couldn’t have imagined.

SO, WE PIVOTED!!!

IT WAS IMPERATIVE TO SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY AGAINST ALL ODDS!

So, we invited all to join us virtually on a journey of self-discovery designed to help each participant step into a profound source of inner strength, resilience, wisdom and compassion that could enable navigation of the upheaval and uncertainty of this time with grace and authenticity. We started with teleconferencing, as many did not own a computer. Over the months we taught and graduated to Zoom and Slack - more advanced tools to confront inner and outer struggles that were stretching us in new ways and calling us to go deeper to find a center we didn't know we had. We also advocated for those who were in prison and older or with underlying conditions. We are proud that 32 or the 33 we fought for were able to come home!!!!

We built stable, strong community through powerful practices - no matter what life, or death brought our way... And as the time went by, this became more important than ever, as we lost many.
